Chronicles of a small industrialist who dreams of re-enchanting France – Episode 43:
Ode to industry: the Lumière brothers’ factory exit!
For once, the content of this week’s column is in the video!
We competed for the magnificent “Usine en Lumière” award from the Société d’Encouragement pour l’Industrie Nationale with Bpifrance, La French Fab, the Institut Lumière, the Groupe des Industries Métallurgiques (GIM), Parrot, and Fisheye.
This year marks the 120th anniversary of the world’s first film, made by the Lumière brothers in Lyon.
Together with Grégoire de Langautier, we chose the best: Thierry Van Biesen and Mathieu Ganem! All powered by Maison MGA!
We finished just off the podium, but that’s not what matters. We are proud to show that our factories are beautiful and that light shines brightly on our sheds, in our workshops, in our instruments… and above all, in the eyes of our colleagues!
“Happy are the cracked, for they shall let the light through!” said Audiard. Yes, we have a touch of madness in our industry. And that’s why we have the most wonderful jobs! It’s also why we’ve kept our childlike spirits!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to these beautiful images that will bring a little light into your eyes!
